So I'm having a little problem here...
I have a ~3 year old SR MBP (2.2GHz). I have a copy of Windows 7 Professional 64bit that I need installed on it for Visual Studio purposes. Unfortunately, the superdrive in my laptop hasn't worked in over a year now, and since I don't have Applecare and never needed an optical drive, I never got it fixed. Now however, I cannot figure out how to get Windows installed on it! I tried imaging my flash drive with an image of Windows, but apparently MBPs from that generation can only boot off flash drives that have OS X installed on them. I even tried using CD sharing with my desktop, but for some reason my MBP was unable to see the disk over my network (all hard-wired). Is there a way I can install Windows to a virtual Parallels/VMWare drive and then image that to the actual partition I created on my HD for Windows?
Does the hive-mind have any idea how I can accomplish this task? I've been Googling for hours and have found nothing relevent that can help me with this situation.
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
